Twelve years ago the dreams of a generation inspired us to look beyond
the conventional, to tread the unbeaten path and to provide better
solutions. During these twelve eventful years those same dreams have
led us as a guiding star in our pursuit of excellence.
Today, drawing encouragement from our achievements, we are moving towards a
colorful tomorrow with renewed commitment and dedication.
Nirmithi Kendra, Thrissur is now treading through a glorious path with all
the strength and magnificence that derived from the past trails, troubles
and tribulations. The bold and pioneering steps taken by Nirmithi
Kendra have strengthened the ties of the organisation. With its
innovative working style and management this institution has emerged as a
driving force in the field of cost effective technology. Headed by
District Collector this successful movement is scaling new heights.

History |

Nirmithi
Kendra Thrissur was registered as a society in 1992. In the
initial years the centre was engaged in construction of CEEF
buildings and in training in masons, carpenters, supervisors etc.
In the year 1995 with the KFW grant a production centre at
Pananchery was started, where concrete hollow blocks, door and
window frames, Ferro cement shelves, Pavement blocks etc. are
produced.
In 1994-95,1997,1998 & 2001 the centre was awarded for the best
building centre by HUDCO for its outstanding performance in Rural
as well as Urban Area.
At present, Nirmithi kendra,Thrissur has three subcentres at
different Taluks catering the needs of the public.
The centre is now developed to meet the objectives and is
being selected as one of the model building centre in the country. |

Infrastructure |

Nirmithi Kendra Thrissur is located at the
Civil Station compound at Ayyanthole, Thrissur. It's about 3 KM from
the centre of the Town.
The area of the compound is 1 Acre. We had already constructed
buildings for Administration,Training and Production, stocking yard etc.
which is tabulated in Table No.1 |
